Henry Nicola Mancini, by his real name Enrico Nicola Mancini, was an American composer, well known for his theme soundtracks as Peter Gunn television series, The Pink Panther and Moon River. He won Golden Globe, four Academy Awards, twenty Grammy Awards, and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
He became a pianist in 1946 and he joined the Universal Pictures music department in 1952. His first hit was the song I Won’t Let You Out of My Heart.
