Imagine Dragons gives us a special magical story today, through a pop-rock song.
The band is one of the most famous electro-pop bands in the music world, with four active members in the present – Dan Reynolds, Wayne Sermon, Ben McKee, and Daniel Platzman.
The band released Thunder as an electropop, a synth-pop song, in April 2017.
The song is part of their album named Evolve and was released by Interscope and Kidinakorner record labels.
The song has a length of 3:07 minutes and is the second single from the band’s third studio album.
The free Thunder piano sheet music was produced by Alex Da Kid and Jayson DeZuzio and was written by the entire gang, formed out of Dan Reynolds, Wayne Sermon, Ben McKee, Daniel Platzman, Alexander Grant, and Jayson DeZuzio.
When released, the free Thunder piano sheets peaked at number four on the US Billboard Hot 100 and became Imagine Dragons’ fourth single in the US to reach the top ten after their songs Radioactive, Demons, and Believer.
It reached the top ten also in Canada, Poland, Slovenia, Austria, and Australia, and it was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
The song is accompanied by a music video, directed by Joseph Kahn, released in May 2017.
The video was shot in Dubai, and the interesting fact is that it was filmed in black and white.
It features Dan Reynolds singing and dancing among extraterrestrials, which becomes more interesting, because of the dancers who interpret these roles: Haroon Al Addali, Mamadou Bathily, and Gianna Gi.
Thunder was really appreciated by the critics and public.
Some critics from Billboard magazine placed the song at number 84 on the list of best songs of 2017 and it was referred to as:
the irresistible, hiccupping electro-pop of Thunder, a tune that could sit equally happily in a set by Pink or Rihanna
The good news is that we have available on our website all the materials about this song, and you can play it on your piano right away.
