"I Bet My Life" is from the American band Imagine Dragons.
The band's lineup includes Dan Reynold, Wayne Sermon, Ben McKee and Daniel Platzman. Released on October 27th, 2014, it was the lead single from "Smoke + Mirrors", the band's second studio album. It is up to release on February 17th, 2015 and it's produced by Alexander Grant.

"I Bet My Life" was written by Ben McKee, Daniel Platzman, Dan Reynold and Wayne Sermon. It runs a duration of 3:12 minutes and it's a mixture of two musical genres indie folk and folk rock.
It was also produced by all the members of the band. The song was recorded in the same year of its release at the Imagine Dragons Studio from Las Vegas, Nevada.
The single was first performed by the band Imagine Dragons at the American Music Awards that took place in 2014. At the same edition they were awarded "Favorite Alternative Artist".
Also, the American automobile manufacturer Jeep used it in many TV commercials for the "Big Finish" holidays sales event. It was also used in another TV commercial by Sprite, featuring LeBron James.
According to Dan Reynold, the message of the song is about his relationship with his parents which it was occasionally difficult. This is also visible in the free I Bet My Life piano sheets.
The music video for "I Bet My Life" was released on December 12th, 2014 and it was directed by Jodeb. It featured the actor Dane DeHaan.
The single reached number five on the US Hot Rock Songs, number 3 on US Adult Alternative Songs, number 4 on US Rock Airplay and number five on US Alternative Songs. It was number four in Canada, number five in Belgium and reached the charts on dozen other foreign markets.
"I Bet My Life" has already become famous even though the album was not released yet. It proves the fact that turning it into the lead single was the best move of promoting the album.
