Whether a fan of rock music or not, you definitely must have heard of Aerosmith.
They are an American band, also referred to as "the Bad Boys from Boston" since that’s where the band was formed in 1970.
With a long and outstanding career on the musical scene, Aerosmith is currently the best-selling American hard rock band of all time, the band’s main songwriters, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry being inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
"Livin’ on the Edge" is the first single on the band’s well-known album "Get a Grip", released in 1993. The song had a roaring success, reaching #1 on the Billboard Album Rock Tracks where it remained for nine straight weeks, making it the band’s most appreciated single on the chart.
The band’s main goal was to tackle stringent social issues through this song, so as to highlight the problems that society is facing nowadays. As a result, matters such as religion and racism are being commented upon. However, the world is painted as a place still worth living in, regardless of how many problems it is facing.
In compliance with the lyrics, the music video for "Livin’ on the Edge" portraits a harsh image of the world surrounding us.
