"Our House" is the title of a single by London based ska group Madness, featured on their United Kingdom album "The Rise & Fall" and also their United States compilation entitled "Madness".
Getting released in November 1982, the single peaked at number five on the UK Singles Chart, becoming their greatest hit in the United States in 1983, reaching number seven on the Billboard Hot 100.
Also reaching as high as place 21 on the US Dance Chart, this song was one of their only successful songs in America, that’s why they are considered to be a one-hit wonder in the US.
The piano sheet for "Our House" is Christmas advertisement for Verizon and the original song was also used as the theme song for drama series "Dodger, Bonzo and the Rest".
A music video was also created, showing the band in an old Victorian terrace, portraying the lifestyle of a working family, in coordination with the lyrics.
Playing their instruments in the living room or preparing for work, playing squash and relaxing in a hot tub are all scenes from the video, as well as flashes of the exterior of the Buckingham Palace or other various houses.
Getting ranked number 1 in Swedish charts and fourth in Norway and Switzerland, the song was also popular internationally and we think "Our House" is a great song to translate into some nice piano notes.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
