You and I is the name of one song that belongs to the famous young English-Irish band, One Direction, formed of such gorgeous boys that have been stealing the hearts of many girls and, through their visible talent, a lot of appreciation all over the world.
The song was included on the band’s third studio album, named Midnight Memories, released in 2013, written by Jamie Scott, Julian Bunetta, and John Ryan, the last two getting involved also in the production part.
The single first had a high impact on US Contemporary Hit Radio, on the 15th of April 2014 by Columbia Records. It was, of course, successful.
Further, it was released to Europe, on 23 May, of the same year.
Besides this, the free You and I piano sheets had some successful other versions, as is the case of the EP containing a remix by Liam Payne, which delighted many ears.
As a genre, You and I is a ballad, having also soft-rock influences, and not only the notes are impressive, but also the lyrics.
It is about a lovely couple, which is trying to overcome many differences.
Critics received it well, considering it at least ok, being numerous of them supporting the idea according to which it is amazingly built and performed.
Some of them categorized it as being a "cinematic", "elegant" and "grown-up" ballad, things that deserve to be taken into consideration.
From a commercial point of view, the single succeeded in reaching top-forty in numerous countries, but more than that, it reached the top twenty in the UK and even the top ten in Ireland.
Even though there were some problems regarding the video, which had some parts similar to another video of Clubfeet band from Australia, the You and I's video remains great, the song remains the same and the number of fans is increasing every day.
