"Young and Beautiful" is a song by United States pop singer and songwriter Lana del Rey.
The song was released as a single and was intended for the drama movie "The Great Gatsby". It has been made available as a digital download on the 22nd of April 2013. One day later, Interscope Records featured it as the lead single for the album "The Great Gatsby: Music from BazLuhrmann’s Film".
The three minutes and 56 seconds track was also released by two other labels, namely Polydor and Water Tower. Lana herself wrote the song, aided by Rick Nowels. Nowels also got involved in the production, helped by Al Shux and Dan Heath.

At the Grammy Awards, the song was nominated for Best Song Written for Visual Media.
Another nomination was for Best Song at the ceremony for Critics’ Choice Awards. "Young and Beautiful" managed to win the Satellite Award for Best Original Song.
The song is constructed around a beautiful piano melody, accompanied by violins and Lana’s dark tone. It was also called somber and classy by several other critics. The Cedric Gervais remix was released on the 29th of October 2013. The Gervais remix was featured on the Italian radio stations on the tenth of January 2014.
It managed to hit the eighth place on the Australian charts. In Greece, it even reached the second place. In Hungary, it made it to the top 10, as well as in Israel and Italy.
On the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs, it managed to get only to rank 46.
"Young and Beautiful" was ultimately certified four times Platinum in Australia, as well as Platinum in Italy and the United States.
