The Eagles - Take It Easy sheet music

Take It Easy is a song by American rock band The Eagles, featuring as their first single from their Eagles debut studio album.

The writing of Take It Easy is credited to Glenn Frey and Jackson Browne.

The story of the song is that Browne was aiming to release the song on his debut album, but when Frey got involved and insisted on working together on the song, they moved to the idea of releasing it for Frey’s band in 1973. Frey also worked on the lyrics of the song and, when it was over, the harmony vocalist was Randy Meisner, Don Henley backing him.

Bernie Leadon was the main guitarist and Leadon also played the banjo.

Browne released his own version that same year, which got featured on the "For Everyman" album.

Take It Easy received instant appreciation by the critics, due to its "danceable rhythm" and "winding melody".

The single was also called "catchy" and praised by Allmusic.com among others and it even got used in the 1999 movie called "Outside Providence", as well as an episode of "Knight Rider" in 1982.

Becoming one of their signature songs, Take It Easy reached as high as rank number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and it even was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll.

It reached a twelfth place as well on the Billboard Adult Contemporary charts and even place eight on the Canadian RPM Top Singles.
