The band was originally formed out of five members – Jared Palomar, John Vincent, Justin South, Josiah Rosen and Chris Sachtleben and they sang mainly rock music genre songs.

Boston was written by Dan Layus, Josiah Rosen, Jared Palomar and Justin South.

The story behind the lyrics is known to be about Dan Layus’ high schoolmates, who left to attend Duke University.

The song has also an accompanying music video, released in 2006.
